The Founders Legacy!
Help 1 million out of systemic poverty through education and opportunity.
Message from Founder - Michael Gilbert
Unlike others, he had mentors that helped him navigate through business, and learn life skills at the age of 25
to today. He has since had an extremely robust career as an entrepreneur on 4 continents, and
founder/manager of multiple funds. He volunteered for many programs but saw a serious gap in “after care”,
especially for veterans. Many were handouts, instead of a hand up. This is not sustainable.
Lifespark is his legacy. An 18-year vision put into action. A for-profit that supports non-profits exclusively
without solely relying on the government, donors, or religious institutions.
“If we follow the teachings of Jesus, he always met people’s physical needs first, then their spiritual
needs. He fed them. People can’t hear what you say on an empty stomach or when worried about the
electric bill. I know, I’ve been broke, homeless, and hungry. This is where Lifespark teaches people to fish
through education, and opportunity to eliminate poverty.”
Matthew 25:36 – 40
I was naked, and you clothed Me, I was homeless, and you took Me in, I was sick, and you looked after Me, I
was in prison, and you visited Me.’ …‘I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of
Mine, you did for Me.’
Impact of Poverty

Impact of Poverty
Poverty is the direct link to soldier depression, prison, or suicide.
POVERTY is the problem.
Poverty is due to lack of skills.
The ONLY way to eliminate poverty is to
pay people more money.
The only path to more money is through skills training, education, and opportunity for a career with a livable wage.
Systemic poverty refers to poverty that is derivative of the way we have structured the economy.
It is the economic exploitation of people who are poor through laws, policies, practices and systems that perpetuate their impoverished status.
Poverty is said to exist when people lack the means to satisfy their basic needs of groceries, day care, transportation, housing, and medical.
Regardless of our own personal politics, thought processes, or mindset, it is up to each of us to help teach, train, and offer resources to help others overcome poverty through their own hard work.
This is solved through education and opportunity.
What is the difference between…
Poverty
vs
Systemic Poverty?
